Mangosteen category creator, XanGo, LLC, has announced that the
company’s worldwide philanthropic program called “XanGo
Goodness” will help fund the housing and education project of the
Tuloy Foundation of the Philippines for orphaned and abandoned
street children.
“The Tuloy Foundation serves a much-needed
role in the Philippines, helping to integrate neglected and
abandoned children back into society,” said Bob Freeze, XanGo vice
president of public relations. “XanGo is pleased to continue its
mission of helping children in need around the world, and we
anticipate a successful partnership that will allow XanGo’s
distributors to become involved and help support this worthy
cause.”
Founded in 1993 by Father Rocky Evangelista, the
Tuloy Foundation has grown from a small room at the Saint John Bosco
Parish compound in Makati City to a major facility in Alabang that
provides education to nearly 600 children, with many of those also
receiving residence on-site. Tuloy hopes to expand its capacity in
the future to accommodate up to 1,000 children each year.
XanGo Goodness is a cause-related philanthropic
movement that mobilizes XanGo’s global resources to help children
and families in need. XanGo Goodness advocates a get-involved
mindset that transcends mere “check-writing” and encourages the
company’s employees, distributors and partners to roll up their
sleeves and make a difference. XanGo partners with worthy charities
around the world and also provides humanitarian relief.
