CAREER 911
By Lloyd Luna
Simply happy

Dear Mr. Lloyd,

I’m glad to have seen your column. I also read your blog and I’ve learn so much about your works and indeed it’s great to know that you’re doing all these stuffs. By the way, I’ve been in my day job for eight years now but it seems like I don’t enjoy it. How do you think can I solve this? Thanks.

Dear friend,

First, let me thank you for your time reading my blog. I thank God that you’ve learned from those writings.

For your question, I only have a short share of story to tell you. If you want to be happy, you have to appreciate small accomplishments and achievement that you had. You don’t have to look around for those grand successes. It’s just about you and your perception of what success really means.

I finally got a Blackberry Handheld. It’s one goal that I set and achieve for my self. It’s another miracle unveiled before my very eyes. We can get what we desire if we will just commit our selves to get it (or attract it).

This “corporate phone” used by executives all around the world as a status symbol somehow reduced the painful event that I experienced even prior to the D! Day of John Maxwell Leadership Summit Live Simulcast. I have to tell you it was never easy to get through it all. I know I managed to hang on with Him totally guiding me and my spirit to just hang on.

Still many people are puzzled of what really transpired. And until now, I keep it to myself except for some really close friends. I don’t want to badmouth other people for I know that God has His own unique way of rewarding the people are doing well and “punishing” those who don’t.

Anyway, two days ago my staff and I talked to the owner of the building where we are to move in July. It was a great negotiation and I could never find the best deal anywhere else other than that. I was able to get what I want without compromising the “need” of the one I negotiate with.

We canvassed for some construction materials and office furniture to make up our new home. We’re very excited to move in because we can sense countless opportunities on their way. Right after John Maxwell experience, we feel that those challenges really intend to make us stronger as a team. It was a personal battle for me but when I realized that many people get hurt of the situation, and many still come out to show their concern, I thought it was never a one-man battle. It’s a team!

And so I’d like to thank those souls who stayed by me. I really appreciate your prayers. They made me stronger. I can’t imagine what could have happened were it not for your words of encouragement!

Hmmm. Welcome, Blackberry! Join me as we explore a new ocean of challenges and opportunities.

This story is just one way to stay happy. Appreciate every little thing that comes into your life and you’ll see how happy life really is.

Your life coach,

BigL
