A novel network is opening itself to people supporting efforts to
connect key Philippine service industries with overseas-based
Filipinos who have the relevant interest and knowledge to facilitate
industry development.
OneFilipino.Net, an initiative convened by the
European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Ayala Foundation
and EON, is essentially a feedback and discussion platform building
connections between overseas Filipino workers and industries.
According to key officer Katrina Tanchoco, these
industries include animation, design services, medical tourism,
retirement, information technology (IT) and IT-enabled
services/business process outsourcing, and education.
“Our collective vision is to develop these
industries to be responsive to the actual demands of the global
market,” said Tanchoco.
Interested parties can visit-register and
participate in the initiative. Membership is free and purely
voluntary.
“We subscribe to the belief that intellectual
contribution can easily outvalue dollar remittances,” asserted
Tanchoco.
The network can be accessed at
www.OneFilipino.Net, with tel. nos. 759-8880 and 845-1324.
