Court cases threaten 
to stall sea tragedy investigation

Inquiry Board prepares to counter petition filed by Sulpicio Lines

The probe on the MV Princess of the Stars tragedy was stalled anew on Wednesday, as the Board of Marine Inquiry prepared to answer the petition for a temporary restraining order (TRO) filed by the Sulpicio Lines Inc. before a Manila Regional Trial Court.

Likewise, Del Monte Philippines Inc. has threatened to file a counter suit against Sulpicio Lines, which owns the ill-fated vessel.
