Friday’s 920th at MOA

By Kendrick Go

The latest branch of TGI Fridays opened with a bang in SM Mall of Asia hosting one of the hottest and biggest party that side of the bay.

It was a night of music food and fun as VIPs and celebrities were present to ring in the opening of the hippest hangout in the Metro. And incidentally, the 920th branch worldwide! True to TGI Friday’s style, the event was a flurry of fun activities, lively music, and of course, great food in generous servings. Guests included DJ Mojo Jojo of Magic 89.9, Brewrats’ host Angel Rivero and the Game Girls, Sony BMG’s latest singing group sensation which provided a sizzling performance that simply brought the house down!

What makes this TGI Friday’s so special one might ask, other than the usual sumptuous food, the free-flowing drinks, and the fun service? As part of the global re-imagining of the TGI Friday’s look, this is the fourth branch in the country to sport the updated interiors, as well as the first branch to have the new dining ware! Everything from the plates and utensils to the glasses at the bar!

Guests to the party got stuffed with buffalo wings, ribs, fries and other yummy treats. There was also plenty of cold beer and wine to wash it all down. The excellent food and nice entertainment certainly fired the crowd up. Besides the eating there was also dancing as the guest young and old all showed their moves in the dance floor.

One of the highlights of the evening was the bartending exhibition where Asia Pacific Bartending Champion and World Bartending Championship 2nd Runner-Up Matthew Burgos showed everyone why he’s the champ. While Matthew was tossing bottles and stirring drinks DJ Mojo decided to drop in and shake things up.

So when you’re looking for that TGI Friday’s fix, look no further than the largest mall in Asia where you can find the biggest in comfort-dining with an all-new modern twist!
