Bright future in mixed martial arts

THE Colt 45-Universal Combat Reality Championship (URCC) XII “Supremacy” held on July 5 at the A. Venue Events Hall in Makati City turned out a big success that organizers are planning to bring the event to the provinces.

“I can say that it was one, if not the most successful URCC we’ve had to date. The attendance was overwhelming as well as the energy of the crowd in cheering for their favorite fighter,” said Alvin Aguilar, who founded the URCC in the Philippines in 2002.

Good thing that the people behind Colt 45 shared the vision of URCC, which is to showcase Filipino mixed martial arts skills in the world.

“We would like to thank our presenter Colt 45 for sharing our vision. With their support, we see an even bigger future in Philippine mixed martial arts,” said Aguilar.

“For the rest of the year, we are planning to mount events in Cebu and other provinces for our grassroots program. This November, we will also have our 13th event in Manila. We are also planning to expand to other countries in Asia as well as countries like Guam and Saipan,” Aguilar added.

The 10-bout Colt 45-URCC XII “Supremacy” was also supported by Pony, No Fear, Yoshinoya, E-Games and Pagcor Venezia VIP Club, Absolute Zro, Optimum Nutrition, VRP Medical Center, Domino’s Pizza and media partners Solar Sports, Jact TV, Rogue Magazine, Maxim, Magic 89.9, Wave 89.1 and NU 107.
