ATENEO DE MANILA UNIVERSITY hopes to extend its winning streak to
four when it tackles University of the Philippines (UP) in the 71st
University Athletic Association of the Philippines men’s
basketball tournament at the Philsports Arena.
The Blue Eagles and the Fighting Maroons square
off at 2 p.m.
In the other game, De La Salle University
clashes with National University at 4 p.m.
La Salle is tied with idle Far Eastern
University and University of the East at for second at 2-1.
Ateneo will bank on Chris Tiu, Rabeh Al-Hussaini,
Eric Salamat and rookie Ryan Buenafe while spearheading UP are
Martin Reyes, Jay Agbayani, Magi Sison, Woody Co and Mike Gamboa.
“We need to stay focused to sustain our
game,” said Ateneo coach Norman Black.
