JOSEFA Abenoja Dumuk, widow of Romualdo Floirendo-Dumuk and mother
of Joseph Dumuk, Philippine Sports Commission Consultant and twice
Philippine Sportswriters’ Association awardee, and Red Dumuk,
Philippine Olympic Committee’s Sports for All Commission Chair and
officer of a number of National Sports Associations, passed
away July 16.
She was to turn 90 years old on August 1.
A softball player of the old Philippine Normal
School, the deceased was former president of the Girl Scouts of the
Philippines La Union Council and Inner Wheel Club of San Fernando,
La Union, treasurer of the La Union School Teachers Association, and
regent of the Daughters of Isabela (Bauang, La Union).
The wake is at her residence in Bauang, La
Union. Her remains will be interred on July 23 after
a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Bauang, La
Union.
