Senate nod on JPEPA needed by November

The Senate must concur with the ratification of the Japan-Philippine Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA) before November or it will be left behind by the rest of the Southeast Asian nations, Sen. Mar Roxas said Monday.

In a press conference at the Senate, Roxas said that Japan will hold a summit with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) in November or December this year, with economic partnership agreements as the main item on the agenda.
