Cuerpo challenges MMDA with discount offer |
|
The offer is
equivalent to P240 per metric ton, which translates to an annual
savings of P700 million for MMDA

Cuerpo on Monday challenged Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA)
Chairman Bayani Fernando to accept his offer to use the Montalban
landfill if “he is serious with his desire” to decongest the
Metropolis and end its decades-old garbage problem.
Cuerpo posed the
challenge after the umbrella cooperative organization in the country
threw its support behind the mayor’s standing offer for the use of
the Montalban Solid Waste Disposal Facility, at a 40-percent
discount on its fee.
