Toyota donates safety gear

The Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation (TMPF) donated reflectorized vests and other safety equipment to the Pulong Santa Cruz Elementary School (PSCES) to be used by the volunteer traffic enforcers manning the school’s entrance along the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay National Highway. The donation is part of TMPF’s continuous support to its adopted school, and aims to upgrade the safety standard PSCES students, their parents and guardians, teachers and school staff. TMPF Education Sector head Ronald Gaspar (second from right) turned over the equipment to PSCES officer in charge Emelita Alano. With them in photo are Grade 6 teacher Ma. Now on its 20th year, Toyota is committed to helping the country through its social contribution programs in the areas of health, education, environment and road traffic safety.

Petron offers lpg for automobile use

Petron said it has been at the forefront of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) use for automobiles—called Auto LPG. A pioneer in selling LPG to households for cooking, Petron said it has a long experience in the safe handling, transporting and dispensing of LPG.

Petron revealed that in 2006, it invested P50 million for its Auto LPG program to support the environmental polices of the government for cleaner fuels and to help meet the expanding demand for LPG among motorists. At the same time, it said it also spent P59 million to upgrade firefighting facilities at its Bataan Refinery, ensuring stable and adequate supply of Petron fuel products, including Petron Xtend Auto LPG, for its customers nationwide.

Petron said it has an extensive network of stations selling Xtend Auto LPG in Metro Manila, making it convenient for LPG-using motorists. Signs posted at Petron service stations identify which ones sell Xtend Auto LPG.
