NATIONAL team mainstay Liza del Rosario beat Prima-Batang
X’s Jerht Santos in the stepladder finals, 252-185, to capture the
Open Masters title in the just-concluded Fourth Lipa City National
Invitational tournament in Batangas.
Del Rosario, also a member of
TBAM-Prima, topped the preliminary round with a series of 2267.
“I’m so happy winning this
title. During the masters finals, I was able to do what I needed to
do. The lanes were very challenging as we transfer game after
game,” said Del Rosario.
“I’ll take some rest first
and get back to training soon to better improve my game,” she
added.
Del Rosario’s teammate,
Madeline Llamas, won the ladies Open crown.
Meanwhile, RP team coach Nico
Valderrama said the men’s squad is training for the World Men’s
Championships in Thailand next month.
