July inflation still at double digits

THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) expects inflation to have remained at the double-digit level last month as a result of higher food and oil prices and costlier utilities.

BSP Governor Amando Tetangco Jr. said the central bank projects inflation to have hit 11 percent to 12 percent in July from 11.4 percent in June.
