the recent JobsDB.com’s two-day Career and
Entrepreneurship Fair 2008 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City
was indeed a treat for job seekers. Apart from showcasing numerous
job openings, the CEF offered free seminars on career development
and entrepreneurship. The CEF was organized by Hong Kong-based
recruitment firm JobsDB, an online job seekers portal whose
credibility is recognized in Australia, China, Indonesia, India,
Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States.
The two-day fair at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, was attended
by 14,000 participants with 30,000 job applications filed. Fifty
people were also hired on the spot during the event. Vice President
Noli de Castro led the ribbon-cutting ceremonies during the CEF
opening. In photo with him are Secretary Cerge Remonde of the

JobsDB.com (second from left), as they watch a jobseeker register
her resume online during the fair organized by JobsDB Phils. at the
World Trade Center, Pasay City. “We created the bridge of the
employers and employees through JobsDB.com. We are happy to provide
online services for the seekers of both parties. Through this kind
of fair, we are also hoping and support that small entrepreneurs
would risk and take their time in creating their business,” Sung
said.
