35,984 small enterprises |

FEW Filipinos realize that, counting just from 2003,
as many as 35,984 small enterprises have received aid—from the
government’s science and technology department—to become more
efficient, productive, profitable and globally competitive through
the use of scientific and technological innovations.
This is one of the achievements
the Department of Science and Technology proudly points out as it
begins tomorrow, June 2, its year-long celebration of its 50th or
Golden Anniversary.
