DIANNE NICOLE EUFEMIO collected two golds, including
the air pistol open category, as Quezon City bagged the team title
in the 1st Arturo Macapagal National Youth Shooting Championships at
the PNSA range in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, over the week-end.

Youth Development Program (NYDP) vice chairman for operations Tito
Palma, delivered Quezon City’s first gold in air pistol (bench
rest).
“I take my hats off to our
shooters. They made our city proud. I’m confident they’d improve
more and eventually become international campaigners,” said Vice
Mayor Herbert Bautista of Quezon City.
Jebert’s brother Jason also won
a gold in the air rifle event of the tournament supported by Thermax,
Pagcor and Spring Cooking Oil.
Winners in the women’s division
were Shanin Gonzales in the air pistol (open category), Kamilla

pistol (bench rest), Irish and Charisse Palma and Maria Isabelle
Eufemio in air rifle team and Priscilla Anne Calura in air rifle

winners.
Padilla said the NYDP already has
names for the national training pool but another qualifying event
will be held to determine the RP team members for the Southeast
Asian Championships later this year.
