OLSEN RACELA had a career-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers,
to lead the Magnolia Beverage Masters to a 94-86 victory over the
Welcoat Dragons on Wednesday in the 2008 Smart-PBA Philippine Cup at
the Araneta Coliseum.
Lordy Tugade had 19 points while import Jameel
Watkins finished with 17 points, 19 rebounds, five blocks, four
assists and two steals for Magnolia, which rallied in the fourth
quarter to notch their seventh win in 13 outings and avenge their
101-108 loss to the Dragons on April 30.
Corey Santee led the Dragons with 21 points,
five assists and four steals while Jay-Ar Reyes accounted for 18
points, nine rebounds and four assists. Joe Devance and import
Marquis Gainous chipped in 17 and 14 points, respectively.
The loss was the fifth straight for Welcoat,
which remained at the bottom of the standings with a 3-10 slate. The
Dragons’ last win was over Talk ‘N Text 116-108 on May 9.
