Usher stands tall once more

 
Sony BMG artist Usher finally releases his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Here I Stand. The new CD features collaborations with Jay-Z, will i.am, Beyonce and Lil Wayne.

The album comes as Usher’s latest smash hit “Love In This Club” featuring Young Jeezy sits in radio and music video charts in the country. The popular song has remained in the Top 5 on US Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles chart for ten consecutive weeks and is in the Top 10 on various charts in the UK, Germany, France and Canada. A new version of the song titled, “Love In This Club Part 2” featuring Beyonce and Lil Wayne was recently released and is rapidly climbing the radio charts.

Here I Stand is Usher’s follow-up to his history making, nine times platinum-selling Confessions. “My goal with every album is to be as in the moment and as honest as I possibly can,” the five-time Grammy winner explains. “There have been a lot of changes in my life so I wanted to make something that really reflected that.”

In the mid-1990’s, Usher Raymond 4th became the wonder boy of the pop/R&B world. Some of his famous songs are “You Make Me Wanna,” “My Boo” and “Burn.” To date, he has sold approximately 30 million albums worldwide and has won five Grammy Awards.

To launch the new album, Wave 89.1, Sony Ericsson and Sony BMG is holding the Wave 89.1 Back-To-School party today, June 6 at The Basement, Eastwood City, Libis featuring DJ Kimosave and MC Dash. Party people will be treated to a night of hip-hop dancing to Usher’s music and other club favorites.
