THE race for the two outright semis berths gets tighter as Air21
shoots for solo lead against defending champion Alaska Friday in the
Smart-PBA Philippine Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome.
The Express, coming off a 95-93 win over the
Sta. Lucia Realtors on June 1, take on the Aces at 4:50 p.m.
Air21 joined Coca-Cola and Red Bull on top with
an 8-5 card after the Tigers lost to the Purefoods Giants on
Wednesday.
The Alaska Aces, sporting a 6-6 record, are
fresh from their 88-60 demolition of Purefoods on May 30.
In the other game, Sta. Lucia eyes its seventh
win against Barangay Ginebra at 7:20 p.m.
