Haven for homemakers

The average home-maker needs all the help when it comes to setting up a home. While other home depots present a myriad of choices when it comes to housing accessories, these venues may sometimes be too overwhelming in their size, resulting more in confusion among buyers and their priorities. What one needs is a one-stop shop that offers a more organized collection of merchandise in an accessible scale, along with a reliable staff who can help you pick out items for your home.

Ever malls address this need with “Home Works”—a home center that highlights a complete and organized selection of home products and accessories in a contemporary store setting that is oriented towards the Filipino taste and expectations.

Located inside Ever Gotesco Malls in Commonwealth, Ortigas Extension, Grand Central Caloocan and Lipa City, Home Works highlights the concept of a one-stop shop store which includes HOFA (home, office furniture and accessories), hardware, appliance, motoring, DIY and exclusive imported items. Its first branch was opened on December 10, 1997, heralding the start of its store operations under different product categories to offer customers. It is the first venture of the Ever Group in the retail industry that has established a name in the market.

”We provide solutions for your furniture and hardware needs,” says Karen Lopez, operations head of Home Works. “We want to help homemakers make their living spaces look classy even with a limited budget.”

Featuring an impressive collection of quality furniture items with affordable price tags, Home Works attracts local buyers who come from the C and B market who wish to upgrade their choice of home fixtures. Various products are priced well below the cost of comparable national brands without sacrificing quality or durability.

“Our complete line of products is one major reason why our customers keep coming back. They visit Home Works at least once a month and family members usually accompany them. We even get bargain hunters and discriminating buyers who are willing to travel to our branches just to make sure they purchase quality products at affordable prices,” Lopez says. “Home Works also does a lot of direct importation from China, Hong Kong and Indonesia, that’s why our items are budget-friendly and are very unique.”

Primarily however, the store aims to become a “haven” for the ordinary homemaker who wants the best home products in a comfortable setting. As such, the store is designed with a friendly atmosphere, customer-friendly staff, easy transaction processes and a generally pleasant shopping experience where everyone can feel at home.

Unlike other furniture stores, Home Works allows customers to freely touch, feel, and lounge at the furniture on display. This experience makes the decision-making more discernible for homemakers, since they can have a basis for choosing a particular piece of furniture.

Soon, the different branches will also unveil Showcase Areas that will present the array of products that Home Works carries in a more aesthetic manner. “The Showcase Area will present the buyers with different options in designing their home. The furniture will be highlighted in stylish and trendy means so that their value can be more appreciated. We want the homemakers to believe that Home Works can make better homes happen,” says Lopez.

Home Works Home Center has branches at Ever Mall Commonwealth (basement level, 952-2137), Ever Mall Ortigas (2nd level, 656-4539), Ever Grand Central Mall (3rd and 4th parking level, 367-1774) and in Lipa City (C.M. Recto Avenue, 043-7564991).
