Philips has recently introduced its new line of Philips GoGear MP3
and MP4 players looking at average Filipino consumers, particularly
college students and young professionals.
“The Philips GoGear solution tries to cater
the ABC market,” said Rico Gonzales, Philips Philippines’ chief
executive officer and general manager of Country Operations for
Philips Consumer Lifestyle. “It’s the broader market that we are
trying to capture.”
The Philips GoGear line of MP3 and MP4 solutions
were designed to get people going with the use of advanced
technology and the ease of experience, said Gonzales.
One of the unique features of Philips GoGear MP3
and MP4 players was its FullSound technology, where its users can
“listen to the songs on its fullest audio range,” according to
Vidyut Kaul, customer marketing manager for Philips Consumer
Lifestyle.
FullSound technology is a digital audio
algorithm patented by Philips that refines audio output.
Among the GoGear’s six different models were
SA2625, a portable digital music player comes with changeable front
covers; SA2825, an audio player powered by Philips patented
FullSound technology; SA1916, a model that allows users to enjoy
hours of great MP3 and WMA music.
For multimedia entertainment, Philips introduced
SA3015 (128x128 pixels resolution), SA3225 and SA3445 (220x176
pixels resolutions with FullSound technology features) audio and
video players.
Philips has also teamed up with RealNetworks to
offer its Filipino consumers with Rhapsody online music subscription
service. Rhapsody allows consumers to download any type of music
anytime.
