SM Makati CyberTwo breaks ground

The local call-center industry boom can be measured by its resounding demand for quality office space. In response to this prevailing trend, SM Investments Corp. (SMIC) recently marked the groundbreaking of SM Makati CyberTwo.

Located at the corner of Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue and Zodiac Street in Makati City, the SM Makati CyberTwo will be the site of Vision-X Inc.’s second office in Manila.

Vision-X, a leading service provider in both inbound and outbound telemarketing  and customer relationship management, has been ranked as a  top 20 international customer interaction center with clients ranging from the Fortune 500 giants to mid -size international companies.

Target completion for the four-storey, 14,500 sqm. SM Makati CyberTwo is in 4th quarter of this year.

With the launch of SM Makati CyberTwo, there are now three Cyberzone buildings, two in Makati and one in Baguio,  designed specifically for 24/7 operations such as Vision-X. Along with the OneE-comCenter in the Mall of Asia Complex, this marks SM’s fourth BPO office facility in the Philippines.

During the groundbreaking, Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director General Atty.  Lilia de Lima led the ceremonial laying of time capsule together with the executives from SMIC and VXI.

“As organizations worldwide learn to unlock significant value through offshoring and outsourcing of services, the growth prospects for this industry are enormous,” said Jess Lucas, executive vice president for SMIC, in his welcoming spiel.

Paul Birdseye, executive vice president and country manager for VXI, said in response that he is “looking forward to a long-term, fruitful partnership with SM.”
