Exhibit of 100 nudes pays tribute to
Oblation for UP centennial

Alumni of the University of
the Philippines (UPAA) pay tribute to the iconic oblation to
mark UP’s Centennial Anniversary with an art exhibit entitled
“100 Nudes, 100 Years” at the Mandarin Suites, fourth floor of
Gateway Mall in Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City until June 25.
Masterpieces by the 79
artists—all UP alumni—will be exhibited. Works include those of
National Artists Fernando Amorsolo, Napoleon Abueva and Guillermo.
In a special coffee table book that compiles 100 nude
masterpieces of its distinguished artists alumni, the University of
the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) hopes to rekindle the
spirit...
For its closing festivities, the Heritage Month
showcased the city of Dumaguete in Negros Oriental. The event is the
project of the Filipino Heritage Festival Inc., National Commission
on Culture and Arts (NCCA)...
A man of honor sees his work as a sacred trust. He
will give himself wholeheartedly to his responsibility. I said,
“responsibility” because the man of honor sees his work more as
a vocation rather than a job.
