Gov. Panlilio charges Pineda for plunder

The Pampanga governor maintains that this move has nothing to do with politics in the province

PLUNDER charge was filed on Monday by Gov. Eddie Panlilio of Pampanga before the Office of the Ombudsman against suspected jueteng lord Rodolfo “Bong” Pineda after the latter has been linked with the jueteng conviction of former President Joseph Estrada.

In an 11-page complaint-affidavit by Fr. Eddie Panlilio, governor of Pampanga, he said that Estrada was convicted beyond reasonable doubt by the Sandiganbayan for the crime of plunder and it is a fact that former Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson of Ilocos Sur disclosed that jueteng money came from Pineda, hence, mere probable cause would warrant the filing of charges against Pineda.
