HARBOUR CENTRE seeks to preserve its lead when it battles Burger
King on Saturday in the main game of the 2008 PBL Lipovitan Amino
Sports Cup at the Arena in San Juan.
The four-time champion Batang Pier goes for win
No. 4 against the Burger Whoopers at 4 p.m.
Other matches pit winless Toyota Otis against
Bacchus Energy Drink at 2 p.m., right after the game between Nokia-RP
Youth and Pharex at 12 noon.
Jeff Chan scattered 13 points in leading Harbour
Centre to a 90-70 victory over Bacchus Energy Drink on Tuesday.
“The team is very near to its full potential.
Our victory over Bacchus showed the players have started jelling,”
said Harbour coach Jorge Gallent.
Aside from the 6-foot-3 Chan, coach Gallent will
also rely on Solomon Mercado, Boyet Bautista, Edwin Asoro, TY Tang,
Jonathan Fernandez and Jason Catsro.
While Harbour Centre tries to sustain its form,
Burger King is also out to improve its 3-1 record with the help of
Khiel Misa, Francis Barcellano, Chris Baluyot, Mike Bravo and Nestor
David.
“Harbour Centre is a strong team. But we will
just play our usual game,” said Burger King coach Allan Gregorio
after the Burger Whoopers defeated Toyota Otis, 75-66, last week.
