Senate to probe Bonifacio’s death
|
|
SEEING many of the senators try to uncover every dirt in town
reminds us of sniff dogs or the posse that relentlessly pursues
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Or of the righteous Inspector
Javert stalking every suspect in a vengeful pursuit of justice.
The Senate has hardly finished some of its
investigations, has not finished writing the report on completed
ones, and is currently has its nose into the broadband network deal,
but some members are already urging the blue ribbon committee
chairman to open new inquiries.

copper rotors in the news section of Scientific American (Nov.
2007). If copper were used instead of aluminum for the rotors of
electric motors, as much as 93 percent of energy can be saved.

WASHINGTON: The Roman Catholic church in the
United States paid out $615 million (400 million euros) last year
for child sex abuse cases involving members of the clergy, or 54
percent more than the previous year, an official report showed
Friday.
