CAREER 911
By Lloyd Luna
Reflection

Dearest readers,

This is my Lenten special and so I dedicate this column to all those letter senders that have been writing to me ever since I begun writing here. Thank you for your undying support. In this time of the year, I can summarize what we’re most likely to do or should do in one word: reflection.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this to any of my speeches but let me put this on record. I’m an avid fan of Lea Salonga. Lea as a singer not only reminds me of how being a Filipino is something to be always proud of, she also translate every lyrics of her songs to a live, affective advice for me.

Life had never been that friendly at least to many who have been ignorant about how it works. This is basically one of the reasons why people get depressed and most of the time disappointed. They expect too much and yet they work too little. Or, they work too hard but they seem to not get something spectacular.

When I spoke before the officers of the Senate Electoral Tribunal a couple of days ago, I pointed out that if they don’t want the way they’ve lived their lives in the last 10 years, they can always decide to change its course toward the next 10 years starting now.

This is what Lea’s song “Reflection” can come in.

Who is that girl I see staring straight back at me?

Why is my reflection someone I don’t know?
Somehow, I cannot hide who I am, though I’ve tried

When will my reflection show who I am inside?

This is one best time of the year to look at the mirror and examine very carefully what you have become in the last 10 years and see if you’re getting closer to your dream life. This is a perfect time not just to relax but to have a talk with your self.

There are so many questions you need to answer and when you’re able to learn those answers, sometimes reasons, you can start a new journey toward personal success.

You are what you see in your mirror. But the good news is you can change that reflection if you’d change the way you think and the way you choose your actions and emotions.

The first quarter of the year is ending and so far I’ve got a total of 15 speaking engagements. What a great scenario to replay! And that’s because I love changing my reflection for the better all the time.

Every day is a perfect day to start a life change. And you know what? You can make it if you can only trust your intuition.

Look at your self. When will your reflection show who you are inside? Simple answer is when you’re able to get inside your true self and unleash its desire and potential.

Your life coach,

BigL
