Whoever is not familiar with the 3 o’ clock habit?
The Divine Mercy Apostolate of the Philippines
is proud to release the first-ever coffee table book published on
the more than 20-year devotion to the Divine Mercy in the country.
Entitled, “Divine Mercy in the Philippines,”
the book speaks about the success of the devotion in the Philippines
that began in the mid-80s and features works of various Divine Mercy
apostolates established nationwide.
Sister Monina Tayamen says the book is the
humble contribution of the Divine Mercy Apostolate of the
Philippines to the Roman Catholic Church as it prepares for the
first World Apostolic Congress on Mercy at Vatican City, Rome, Italy
from April 2 to 6 2008.
Editors Joel Paredes and Lourdes Fernandez said
writing the book was a great experience for rekindling one’s faith
in God.
The book launch will be held today at the
Multipurpose Hall, Archdiocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy Maysilo
Circle, Boni Ave., Mandaluyong City.
It will begin with a Eucharistic celebration at
3 p.m. to be led by Monsignor Josefino Ramirez, Spiritual Director
of the Divine Mercy National Movement of the Philippines.
As the country faces challenges socially,
economically and politically— the book is a fitting avenue for
believers to believe more on God’s offer of mercy.
