HARBOUR CENTRE used another torrid shooting in the second quarter to
score a convincinng 99-77 win over Pharex for a record seventh
straight win in the PBL Lipovitan Amino Sports Cup on Saturday at
The Arena in San Juan.
In a fitting follow-up to their 88-69 win over
Hapee Toothpaste on Tuesday, the Batang Pier came through with an
avalanche of baskets in the last four minutes of the second quarter
to rip the game wide apart.
In the second game, Toyota Otis, drawing another
solid numbers from Chito Jaime and newly-reactivated RJ Jazul,
drubbed Noosa Shoes, 85-74, for its second straight win since
dropping its first five games.
The Shoes Stars, despite getting 22 points from
Noy Javier, slipped to 3-4.
The Batang Pier thus eclipsed their record sixth
straight win which they posted last conference.
