netbook to compete with Asus eee PC
NEO recently
announced the availability of the first locally branded,
Internet-centric netbook PC called the NEO eXplore X1, The new
Intel-powered portable computing device, based on the Intel
classmate PC design, aims to reduce the affordability gap for PC
ownership and to compete directly with the commercially successful
Asus eeePC. The 1.4Kg Neo eXplore X1, with a Celeron 900MHz CPU,
Windows XP Starter Edition, 7" LCD screen, 512MB RAM and 30GB
Flash-based HDD, is priced at P16,999.00. --Tech
