THE very popular L’Incontro Ristorante Italiano owned by charming
couple Gino and Linda Martinel was the venue of a double
celebration—the victory of Madame Imelda Romualdez-Marcos and the
birthday of Geena Zablan.
Two big chocolate cakes were presented to both
of them. Gino prepared all the Italian specialties of the house from
the mussels to the yummy cold cuts, two kinds of pastas and grilled
fish and meats. Rene Barbier wines flowed the whole night while
guests listened to the rendition of Aliw Awardee Winner Arthur
Manuntag, multi awarded movie actor/producer turned singer Ricky
Davao, fitness guru Cory Quirino dueting with Arthur and newly
discovered balladeer Ding Diaz. The highlight of course was the
Madame herself singing her favorite Tagalog songs.
Enjoying the party were newly arrived Petron
President Kamal Al-Yahya, fashion designer Anna Sia, businesswoman
Marissa Fenton, raw food chef Cheloy Ignacio, Yolly Ayson, Kathy
Park, Donnie Ramirez, Len Olbes and cheering for husband was Kathy
Manuntag. Lea Meriguet came with niece Geraldine de Leon arriving
late from trips separately but nonetheless enjoying the party were
Emma Nieto flying in from Boracay and PAL’s asset Fe Dixon who
went straight to the party after she landed from Hong Kong.
