The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Thursday that
apprehended colorum buses in their various impounding sites may be
left to rot for good if their owners fail to get franchises from the
authorities.
MMDA Traffic Operations Chief Angelito Vergel de
Dios said colorum buses rounded up during the agency’s
anti-illegal colorum operations will be left impounded in Las Piñas
City because the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory
Board (LTRFB) refuses to issue new franchises for Metro Manila bus
operations
