Samsung Electronics showcased its new line of high-definition (HD)
products at the recent Samsung AV Roadshow 2008.
Among those highlighted on the show was
Samsung’s HD TV lineup, namely Series 5, 6 and 7 HD LCD TVs.
Each series is equipped with a 1080p true-HD
resolution.
The Series 5 HD LCD TV is equipped with a
30,000:1 contrast ratio for richer black details. It features a
Clear Panel technology, created to reduce glare and enhance contrast
and a Wide Colour Enhancer 2 to increase the color quality. It has
three High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) 1.3 inputs and a
USB 2.0 port for easy connectivity and a swivel stand for flexible
viewing.
On the other hand, the Series 6 HD LCD TV
features a Super Patterned Vertical Alignment panel for 178-degree
viewing angle from all axes and a 50,000:1 contrast ratio. It
features Ultra Clear Panel technology for reflection reduction and
increased visibility, Auto Motion Plus 100Hz for eliminating image
blurring and a Wide Color Enhancer 2. It has four HDMI inputs and a
USB 2.0 port.
Finally, the Series 7 features a 50,000:1
contrast ratio, Auto Motion Plus 100Hz, Wide Colour Enhancer 2 and
Digital Natural Image engine Pro for enhanced depth of color. It has
a library with fitness, children, gallery, cooking and game content
for enhanced entertainment, as well as an InfoLink function for news
updates, which can be provided through Ethernet connection. It also
has four HDMI inputs and a USB 2.0 port for connectivity.
Both Series 6 and 7 LCD TVs incorporate the
Crystal Design, which feature a tinge of amber blended with
Samsung’s traditional piano black bezel frame.
The Series 5, 6 and 7 will be available by
April, May and June respectively.
