LETTER

Roxas Blvd. nightmare

Calling the attention of the Parañaque City government and the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Traffic has eased somewhat in the Baclaran area, but another chokepoint strangles traffic flow on Roxas Boulevard.

Daily, with no exception, traffic crawls between NAIA Road and Airport Road along Roxas Blvd. Three reasons: 1. The traffic light at the intersection of Airport and Roxas changes too quickly. 2. Cars and buses from the Manila side making a U-turn on Airport Road impede traffic. 3. The MMDA traffic enforcers do not know how to direct traffic.

If Chairman Bayani Fernando and Mayor Florencio Bernabe wish to enforce discipline, make traffic lighter, and make travel more pleasant for tourists and commuters, they should attend to the nightmare between NAIA Road and Airport Road immediately.
