HI! SOCIETY
By Becky Garcia
Colombo in Manila

It was truly a night to remember for Multi awarded Italian Architect Carlo Colombo who made a lightning trip to Manila recently. At an intimate dinner in Shang Palace hosted by Shangri-La Makati Hotel, the noted architect dined with the Special Envoy to China and Century Properties Head Ambassador Joey Antonio, Balenciaga’s Jappy Gonzales, new thought guru George Sison, Aspire Image Management’s beautiful Camille Agbayani and Hi Society.

The sumptuous eight-course dinner became even more meaningful by an enjoyable round of astrology games spearheaded by George who gave interesting interpretations of the different zodiac signs of the guests present. George also made sure the delightful evening came to a close with a special insight for each attendee.

Meanwhile, another memorable event was an evening of timeless classics and time-honored Original Pilipino Music at the recent APO Hiking Concert at The Bellevue Manila’s elegantly decorated Grand Ballroom which was filled to the brim and guests who were dressed to the nines were in for a very entertaining night. One of the best and most celebrated OPM groups in the country, the trio of Jim Paredes, Buboy Garovillo and Danny Javier enthralled the southern Manila crowd with their enchanting lyrics, which have captivated the country’s hearts for 39 years running. The guests were welcomed by Bellevue GM Patrick Chan and Marketing and Communications Director Ryan Chan to an evening of music and celebration, as everyone took a trip down memory lane and enjoyed APO’s soulful serenades.
