Pals eye 6th win vs. Kings

TALK ‘N TEXT tries to get back in the win column again as it tangles with Barangay Ginebra on Sunday in the 2008 Smart-PBA Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Phone Pals, who slid to second after losing to Welcoat 108-116 on Friday, shoot for their sixth win against the Kings at 6:50 p.m.

Meeting in the 4:50 p.m. curtain-raiser are newly crowned Philippine Cup titlist Sta. Lucia Realty and Air21.

A victory for the Phone Pals will move them to a game away from closest pursuers Air 21 and Sta. Lucia, which are toting identical 4-3 cards.

But the Gin Kings are also seeking a win that will boost their confidence with 7’1” import Chris Alexander at the helm. They lost to the Express 88-97 last Wednesday.

Coach Jong Uichico said it’s still too early to judge Alexander, who last played with the Sioux Falls in the National Basketball Development League, where he averaged 11.6 points and 11.2 rebounds in the semifinals last year.
