THE Circle of Friends Foundation, Inc. (COFFI) will hold a golf
tournament on May 16 at the Ayala Greenfield and Leisure Club in
Calamba, Laguna.
Now on its third staging, the event aims to
raise funds for COFFI’s Wheelmobile project which provides
transportation for wheelchair-bound people.
Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and the tee off
at 8:00 a.m. Lunch, fellowship and awarding of prizes will
immediately follow.
Major sponsors which expressed their commitments
are Buergli Pharma, Metro Drug, Micro-Biological Laboratory, Nestlé
Philippines and Zuellig Pharma.
Also extending support to the fund-raising
tournament are BOIE Takeda, Hans Brumann, Edgardo Enriquez, El Nido
Resorts, Mercury Drug, New Marketlink International, Pascual
Laboratories, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, The Peninsula Manila,
Werdenberg International and media partner The Manila Times.
As a special treat, all participants can avail
of the blood sugar testing to be conducted by Bayer HealthCare
representatives.
Attractive prizes in four categories (A,B,C and
women) await the winners while additional prizes in fun holes will
ensure that nobody returns home without a smile.
The hole-in-one winner will receive P50,000 from
Lacson & Lacson Insurance Brokers.

COFFI was founded in 1998 to provide mobility
and dignity to people in wheelchairs.
Since 2003, through the generous support of
individual and corporate sponsors, COFFI has rolled out four “Wheelmobiles,”
the first transport service for people in wheelchairs in the
Philippines.
The foundation also supports livelihood for
people in wheelchairs through professional sewing, woodwork and
artwork. Its latest project, “Happy Feet” provides nonsurgical
treatment of inborn club foot deformity.
