LETTER

One more Meralco problem

Each time I pay my Meralco bill at the Meralco district office, customers (and this letter-writer) have to wait long for service. The lines are always long and move slowly because there are payers/customers who present not only their personal bills but bills probably belonging to friends, neighbors and people they know. They are probably paid to do so or are doing others a favor.

The Meralco employees tolerate them and take time to process each billing statement. This causes a great deal of inconvenience, waiting and aching feet. This is very unfair. I have suggested to the employees that they tell the customers to form two lines: one for single-payment customers and another for multiple payers. But they don’t listen because the last time I paid my bill, the “regular” payers were made to suffer by the “bulk” payers and the Meralco automatons.
