Convergys president of customer management to visit Philippines

Andrea Ayers, Convergys Corporation's new president of customer management, will visit Manila for a firsthand look at the company's local operations.  Convergys, a global leader in relationship management, recently opened its ninth center in the Philippines in Bacolod City and operates eight additional facilities in Metro Manila and Cebu City.

With over 13,000 employees in Manila, Cebu, and Bacolod, Convergys is one of the largest multi-client contact center operations in the country today.  The Cincinnati, Ohio -headquartered company maintains 85 contact centers across the globe.

During her visit, Ayers will attend strategic planning sessions with local executives and visit all six of the company's Metro Manila sites.  Welcoming her at Convergys One, the Philippine headquarters, will be Convergys Vice-President and Country Manager Marife Zamora.

Ayers began her career at Convergys as a trainer in one of its numerous contact centers.  In total Ayers has been with Convergys for more than 18 years and has held positions throughout the business. In recent years as a Business Unit President, she has led new business development efforts for Convergys in the Government, Healthcare, Retail, and Financial Services markets.  She also currently heads the company's new Relationship Technology Management (RTM) line of business focused on the development of technology-enabled solutions that improve the quality and value of interactions across live agent and self-care channels.

Convergys is a two-time recipient of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority's Outstanding Employer award and has also won Exporter of the Year award (large enterprise category).  Convergys also recently won the Philippine Quill Award for employee communications.
