The net satisfaction rating of President Gloria
Arroyo fell further by almost 10 percentage points from January,
according to the latest IBON Foundation nationwide survey.
The April 2008 survey showed that
President Arroyo’s satisfaction rating dropped to minus 74 from
minus 64 in January 2008. Asked what they thought of the
President’s performance over the past three months, 81.67 percent
of respondents said they are unsatisfied, while 7.69 percent
expressed satisfaction.
IBON Executive Editor Rosario
Bella Guzman noted that four years ago in April 2004, President
Arroyo’s satisfaction rating was at minus 30. The current
minus 74 satisfaction rating is among the lowest for the President
since then, Guzman said.
The net satisfaction rating is
the difference between the percentage of satisfied and unsatisfied
responses. The latest survey was conducted across various sectors
nationwide from April 7 to 16 with 1,495 respondents. The IBON
survey used a multi-stage probability sampling scheme with a margin
of error of plus or minus 3 percent.
