MakatiMed appoints Dr. Andre Daniel Villanueva as it’s new vice
president for business operations and development. Dr. Villanueva
has been tasked to lead the management and administration of the
medical institution’s service centers constituting both
traditional revenue streams as well as the new specialty centers
and/or centers of excellence. A licensed nurse and physician,
Villanueva has been in the healthcare management industry for more
than 15 years, 10 years of which were spent overseas. He was in
Ethiopia in the last two years to undergo a senior fellowship in
International Healthcare Management program of the Yale University
in the first year and as regional director of the Ethiopia Hospital
Management Initiative, a program of the Clinton Foundation, in the
second year. The recently appointed VP’s intention is to come up
with a full-blown marketing and sales campaign including awareness
programs on the various medical services and expertise available in
MakatiMed—and in the process, foster collaboration and partnership
with various organizations here and abroad.
