VINCENT PICCIO 3rd, the RP delegation chef de mission to the Asian
Beach Games, called on national sports associations to submit their
rosters for the October 18 to 26 tournament in Bali, Indonesia.
Piccio, also the wresting association head, said
NSAs have until May 26 to present the lineups.
“Hopefully next month, we can determine how
many athletes, coaches and officials will join the delegation,”
said Piccio, who will leave on June 3 for Bali to attend a seminar.
The Bali Asian Beach Games Organizing Committee
set the deadline for entry by number on June 30 and the entry by
name on September 17.
The Asian Beach Games has calendared 17 sports
but the Philippines will only compete in beach volleyball, beach
wrestling, windsurfing, sailing, beach pencak silat, beach sepak
takraw, woodball, dragon boat, triathlon, marathon swimming and
bodybuilding.
