Ford Group Phils. (FGP) in the past weekends of May hosted the Ford
Summer Shakedown: The Ultimate Test Drive Experience at the
Bonifacio Global City open fields in Taguig City where it allowed
its customers to view and drive the Focus sedan, the Escape,
Everest, Explorer and Expedition sport-utility vehicles and the
Ranger pickup on paved and off-road tracks.
FGP said its adventurous customers put their
driving skills to the test in a specially designed off-road course
that highlights its 4x4 vehicles. Simulating the most extreme road
conditions imaginable, the course engaged the customers in
rough-and-tumble challenges that are not suited for the
faint-hearted, according to FGP.
The activities included the “Fearless
Challenge” where guests were asked to cross a 40-foot-long and a
20-foot-high plank to win prizes, FGP said. Participants also tried
wall-climbing, where they defied gravity via the 28-feet wall. A
special prize was given for every distance covered, the company
added.
“This is not your ordinary test-drive event.
Ford’s promise becomes a reality through fun-filled activities
that appeal to different motorists—from the first-time drivers to
hardcore car enthusiasts,” said FGP’s Tonette Lee. “By
experiencing our products first-hand, customers will find out what
we at Ford always say—we make vehicles that suit our customer’s
lifestyle, are a joy to own and, make their every day exciting,”
she added.
FGP said the Ford Summer Shakedown was supported
by Krispy Kreme, Pepsi and Ray-Ban.
