Armed Forces files complaint against MILF

Muslim rebel group accused of violating ceasefire agreement for the duration of peace negotiations

The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) is facing a ceasefire violation complaint filed by the military before the Joint Committee on Ceasefire and Cessation of Hostilities (JCCCH) for allegedly starting the fighting in Basilan on Sunday.

Military Information Chief Lt. Col. Ernesto Torres, at a news briefing, said the complaint filed by the Armed Forces Western Mindanao Command called for the delisting of two MILF commanders—Malista Malangka and Hamsa Sapanton—who were said to have been in the attack against elements of the Philippine Marines.
