THE Red Bull Barako Bulls try to reassert their mastery over the Air
21 Express when they meet Wednesday in the 2008 Smart-PBA Fiesta
Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.
A win by the Bulls in the 4:50 p.m. encounter
would give them solo leadership. They are currently sharing the top
spot with idle Coca-Cola Tigers at 7-4.
Sister teams Barangay Ginebra Kings and Magnolia
Beverage Masters collide in the second match at 7:20 p.m.
Coach Yeng Guiao is confident that the Bulls can
repeat over the Express.
With seven-foot import Adam Parada leading the
way, the Bulls manhandled the Express on April 4, 102-92. Parada, a
Mexican, scored 28 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked four
shots in their first round meeting.
The Express are hoping to rebound from a 92-97
road loss to Barangay Ginebra Kings.
Aside from Parada, Guiao can also count on Mike
Hrabak, Francis Adriano, Carlo Sharma and Richie Alvarez, who
combined for 37 points in their previous game against the Express.
Also giving the Bulls a huge lift are Cyrus
Baguio, Leomar Najorda, Topex Robinson, Mick Pinnissi and Celino
Cruz.
