Mediamen slam Esperat court
decision |
|
A network of national media organizations on
Wednesday assailed the decision of the Cebu Court of Appeals to
indefinitely stop the prosecution of the suspected masterminds in
the 2005 murder of journalist Marlene Esperat in Tacurong City,
Sultan Kudarat.
The Cebu appellate court granted on May 14 an
indefinite preliminary injunction preventing Cebu Regional Trial
Court Judge Simeon Dumdum Jr. from hearing the case against Osmeña
Montañer and Estrella Sabay, the alleged brains behind the killing
of Esperat.
