Coca-Cola keeps top spot

IMPORT Jason Dixon fired 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Coca-Cola Tigers beat the Welcoat Dragons 94-87 Friday to keep the top spot in the 2008 Smart-PBA Fiesta Conference at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

It was the second time that the 6’9” center-forward from Liberty University played a heroic role for the Tigers, who improved their win-loss record to 8-4 slate, just a game away from Red Bull, Talk ‘N Text and Air 21, which are both spurting a 7-5 card.

Dixon finished with 26 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists for Coca-Cola, which scored a 98-96 win in their first meeting on April 9.

Jay-Arr Reyes led the Dragons with 18 points while import Marquis Gainous and Rob Wainright chipped in 13 points each.
