It’s a delightfully  sinful Filipino dessert. Halo-Halo (“mixed” in Filipino) is relished with native ingredients such as banana, nata de coco (fermented coconut water jelly), sago (tapioca), pinipig (crispy pounded rice), langka (jackfruit), kamote (sweet potato) and various beans, and milk underneath a heap of shaved ice topped with a scoop of ube (purple yam) or ice cream.
