AN ONLINE travel magazine has voted Cebu Pacific as one of Asia’s
most preferred budget airlines.
A Smart Travel Asia 2008 survey showed that Cebu
Pacific was ranked fifth this year, up from sixth last year.
The Best Budget Airline in Asia poll measures
the ability of a carrier to provide not just low prices and cheap
tickets but also schedule reliability, quality of service, route
network and access.
Leading the no-frills airlines survey was
AirAsia followed by Jetstar Asia, Nok Air and Tiger Airways.
Other Asian budget airlines in the top ten were
Virgin Blue, ranking 6th; Air Deccan, 7th; SpiceJet, 8th; Viva
Macau, 9th and Hong Kong Express, 10th.
Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific’s vice president
for marketing and distribution, said the improvement in ranking was
a result of the airline’s continued focus on offering the newest
planes and best travel packages to its passengers.
