Gallery Genesis—its new address at W l004 West Tower, Philippine
Stock Exchange Center Exchange Road, Ortigas Center—has opened the
doors to a first-of-a-series art preview. Entitled Vive L’Art and
organized by the Art Consultancy Group in cooperation with Rockwell
Land and Cantinetta, the preview will open to the serious art
collectors.
The Art Preview is for an Art Auction set for
November 20 at the Rockwell Tent which will start at 6 p.m. for
invited guests only. The Art Preview in Gallery Genesis will run
until November 18.
Proceeds of Vive L’Art exhibit and auction
will go to the Mowelfund Foundation.
The collection will carry artworks from
well-known and highly respected artists like Botong Francisco, HR
Ocampo, Zobel, Isabelo Tampinco (sculpture), Arellano, Purugganan,
Miguel Galvez, Elias Laxa, Max Lalata, Glenn Bautista, Ibarra de la
Rosa, Mario Parial, Prudencio Lamrroza, Ato Habulan, Toti Cerda, Roy
Veneracion, Aro Soriano, Noli Manalang and a host of other artworks
by other artists comprising about l00 art pieces.
In addition works of talented young artists who
were grand prize winners in prestigious 2008 art competitions such
as Ronald Jeresano, grand orize awardee for the 2008 Art Petron
Annual Competition, the 2008 Metrobank Art Competition and the 2008
Kulay Sa Tubig Invitational Competition exhibition; Arnica
Acantillado, the grand prize winner of the 2008 PLDT Annual Art
Competition and second prize winner of the 2008 Shell Annual
Painting Competition; Romell Ramota as grand prize winner of the
2008 Shell Competition and grand prize for watercolor of the 2008
Art Petron Competition; and Lester Rodriguez as first prize,
watercolor category of the 2008 Faber Castell Annual Art
Competition, and top five grand prize winner of the 2008 Kulay Sa
Tubig annual watercolor competition.
